Description:
This potentiometer is designed for converting a shaft's angle of rotation to electrical voltage. The shaft can be rotated by more than 320°. The mechanical stops serve to define the working area during the installation process. If harsher treatment is expected, such as in construction machinery, the mechanism must be fitted with more robust stops, e.g. using a control knob. As the mechanical part is designed to be separate from the electrical part the potentiometer is highly resistant to adverse environmental factors and to wear and tear.
The potentiometer is designed to be wired to a 5 – 30V power network. The output voltage can be defined by the customer prior to production and is merely for signal purposes, i.e. no power loads can be connected to it. Its robust design and watertight connector makes it ideal for use in the demanding environments of working machines, etc.
